This is my first blog so I don’t really know how to use it
yet so I am figuring it out as I go. My blog doesn't represent me yet but it
will. The name of my blog is follow your heart not your mind. This phrase
reflects me because I feel like most of
my life I have done what my parents have told me to do and I never listened to
my own heart to make my own decisions. I hope to customize my blog a bit more
to represent who I am and what I do.
What is most important to me is family. Family always comes
first no matter what because I can rely on them for everything especially my
mom. My mom has gone through a lot of pain physically and I admire her for her
strength and she is the most important person in my life. My passion is dance. I
have been dancing since I was 11 years old and haven’t stopped since then. The type
of dance I do it called Ballet Folklorico, which is traditional Mexican dancing.
I wouldn't give up dance for anything in the world even though it gives me a
hard time to juggle school, work, and dance at the same time.
I am in school because I want to become a labor and delivery
nurse. Since middle school when I learned about pregnancy and saw a live birth
on tape, it interested me very much. I would watch shows on the television so
often because I became amazed of how a women’s body changed with pregnancy and
how the babies were formed and delivered.
What I hope to get out of this English 1A class, is to be
able to expand my vocabulary more and be able to write any type of essay without
struggling so much.
What I value the most that is helping me with college is my parents because they expect me to do well in college and to be an example for my younger brothers. They also want me to be successful in life and achieve my goal of becoming a nurse because I will be the first person in my whole family to go into the medical field.
